KplusK associates are an experienced group of Architects and Designers based in Hong Kong, committed to the production of integrated modern Architecture. The Company has established themselves as one of the leading Architects for Luxury Residential, Hotel and Serviced Apartment developments in Asia. With each project, KplusK aim to create highly personalized environments, combining ergonomic and technological concerns, without compromising the pursuit of a dynamic, heterogeneous, sensual viscosity.
KplusK’s mantra is that “Sensuality in Architecture must also engage with the issues of sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.” KplusK currently expands on these tenets in eight different Countries regionally.
KplusK’s credentials are proven by the award winning buildings, interiors and competition projects they have designed, as well as the Director’s academic and professional qualifications. KplusK have won over 41 regional and international design awards, including the following :

The Directors, Mr. Johnny Kember & Mr. Paul Kember, have both been in practice for over 25 years. Together, they have built up a wealth of combined experience of working in the Far East (Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Bali, Singapore, Macau and Malaysia) as well as Europe (England, France, Italy, Sweden), Australia, Russia and the USA. The Company has been established in Hong Kong since 1996. The directors of KplusK are both trained as architects in the UK and have registered the practice under charter to the Royal Institute of British Architects. Both Directors have also served as asst. professors of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong.

JOHNNY KEMBER
Johnny graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1988 and worked as competition Architect with Alsop and Lyall (London) for 3.5 years. In this time, he won the competition for the Cardiff Bay Barrage in Wales which was constructed - cost 100million GBP at the time and the iconic County Hall for Marseilles (“the Big Blue”) - cost 900millionFF at the time.

PAUL KEMBER

Paul graduated from The Bartlett school of Architecture, UCL in 1987, and established a partnership with Peter Davidson (founder of LAB) in London, which they operated for 5 years. He also worked extensively with Eric Parry on the establishment of Art Galleries, and Exhibition spaces for Pembroke College, and MOMA, Oxford.
