Situated on the tranquil Yamu Cape Peninsula on Phuket’s east coast, KplusK masterplanned and designed a development of 15 individually crafted Contemporary villas. Each residence is sited on a complex and steeply sloping site, to maximize the stunning views into Phang Nga Bay.

Each Villa is formed as a series of pavilions and courtyards, with private swimming pool, terrace and sun decks, all oriented to create secluded outdoor living space.

 

Dual layered solar shading allows each room to maximize views to the sea and sky while shielding the internal environment from heat gain. The facades also have fixed solar shading panels to help control sunlight at low sun angles, creating dappled sunlight shadows in late afternoon. In the larger villas, high lofted roofs are supported by timber glulam beams to create airy loft-like bedroom environments with deep recesses that avoid the intense heat of the sun.

 

Within the contemporary framework of each residence, the components of architecture are crafted from indigenous materials such as granite, sandstone, terrazzo, teak and ceramic, and integrated within the tropical landscape of each space
