KplusK helped Piëch Automotive Group create a conceptual design and feasibility study for their expansion into the Mainland China Market.

KplusK were engaged to develop a prototype assemblage of branded buildings for one of Europe's leading car distribution companies.  Piëch planned to establish a flagship then roll out the assemblage in various configurations throughout Shanghai and then greater China.

The concept was to establish a new car maintenance and service centre franchise, one that was essentially ergonomically driven, simple, informative, easy accessible and customer service oriented.

Customer cars are stored in a Japanese paternoster car parking system prior to being taken through the ramped yellow garage for diagnostics, routine maintenance, tyre, break pad and fluid exchange. The cars are then re-stored in the paternoster to await the customer’s return. Additional facilities included front of house reception, exhibition zones, customer information bank and café.
